Hi, I’m Megan- Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Founder of Wolfe Counseling Services.

It's not every day that you muster the courage to reach out and try a new therapist or perhaps therapy for the very first time. Maybe you are hoping to move past old stories or challenge things that feel like they're holding you back?

My clients teach me about their own life experiences in a safe, caring environment. I collaborate to help them rewrite empowered stories for the present and the future. My aim is to provide a safe and respectful space for self-exploration.

FAQs

What can I expect during my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, any goals you may have, and I’ll ask questions about your background. It’s also a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable working with me.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I am in network with Cigna, Optum and Aetna and can also provide a superbill if you would like to seek reimbursement from an out-of network provider. Please contact me to discuss your coverage.

I also offer a limited number of sliding scale slots based on financial need. Please reach out to discuss options.

Do you offer evening & weekend availability?

Yes! I offer both evening and weekend telehealth appointments to make therapy more accessible for teens, young adults, and busy families. Whether you're balancing school, work, or other commitments, flexible scheduling allows you to prioritize your mental health without added stress. Feel free to reach out to discuss current availability and find a time that works best for you.

What issues do you specialize in?

I’m a licensed therapist with 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges and life transitions.

I am also trained in EMDR. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s a type of therapy that helps your brain “unstick” from past experiences that still feel overwhelming or upsetting. Instead of just talking about what happened, we use eye movements or tapping to help your brain process the memory in a more helpful way.

How is EMDR different from talk therapy?

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR does not require you to talk in detail about the distressing event. Instead, it focuses on how the memory is stored in the brain and helps you reprocess it so it’s no longer emotionally overwhelming or disruptive.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by contacting me directly through the contact form linked below, email, or by phone. I typically respond within 24 hours.
